Trying to Write Concrete Poetry

I understand the significance and power of pieces like "Silencio," and I take pleasure in the simplicity of "Gloria." However, as much as works like "WaveRock" and "Acrobats" amuse me, I do not understand how they are poems. I can see the visual art in them, but I cannot experience these works as I feel a poem deserves to be experienced.

"Mathemaku Aegyptu" in Progress

Just something from a session at Paint Shop this morning. It's not even a finished draft of a poem. "Mathemaku Aegyptu." I just put the first resonant word I thought of on the canvas, and divided it by the most obvious divisor--which I in turn multiplied by the most obvious quotient.

And if I dishonestly gave the impression I approve, or don't disapprove of some visio-textual artworks. Which is also boring, and must tend to cost me any credibility as a judge I may have. Moreover, Scott's piece gives me a chance to pontificate against illumages that are represented as being visual poems, and I can't resist the temptation.
